WQB Mold Removal built this service around a pattern we see constantly in Des Plaines: mold showing up within weeks of a renovation because moisture got trapped during construction.
We'd rather coordinate with your original contractor on a warranty callback than have you pay twice for the same underlying issue. We keep photos and notes from every job in case they're useful for a future warranty conversation.
What sets our Mold Removal crew apart in Des Plaines.
Understanding the actual cause matters more here than in a typical removal call. We coordinate with your original contractor if a callback under their warranty makes sense first.
HEPA vacuums and EPA-registered antimicrobials go on every Des Plaines job, matched to the specific new materials involved. We won't damage recent finish work while treating what's underneath it.
Nothing changes mid-job unless the scope genuinely does. We understand renovation budgets are often already stretched thin.
We know a fresh renovation problem feels urgent, and we treat it that way. Catching this early usually means less has to come back apart.
Every Des Plaines job gets scoped to the specific problem, not a generic checklist.
We identify whether the paint itself is trapping moisture underneath before choosing a treatment approach.
We check recent tie-ins specifically, since this is where a lot of post-renovation problems actually originate.
HEPA vacuuming pulls spore material out of new porous surfaces before any antimicrobial treatment begins.
We match the antimicrobial product to the specific new surface β fresh drywall, new tile, recent trim β rather than a generic spray.
Renovations sometimes alter airflow in ways that create new condensation points nobody anticipated.
We re-inspect the treated surface before leaving, confirming growth is actually resolved.
Here's what a Des Plaines removal appointment looks like after a renovation, start to finish.
Tell us what you're seeing and we'll get a Mold Removal specialist on the calendar for your Des Plaines property, often same-day. Texting a photo ahead of time can speed up prep.
Our nearest available crew heads straight to your Des Plaines address with the gear this job actually needs. You'll get a call or text when the crew is on the way.
We inspect, test where needed, and give you a flat-rate quote before any work begins. Nothing gets added later that wasn't discussed and approved upfront.
The job isn't done until it passes our own check, backed by a written guarantee. We'll walk the space with you before calling it finished.
We didn't write these β our Des Plaines customers did.
"Found mold in our brand-new bathroom just six weeks after the remodel finished β this crew traced it to a plumbing tie-in the contractor rushed."|"Treated it without touching our new tile, which is all I really cared about." β Yolanda P., Des Plaines
"Explained clearly that it wasn't our fault, just moisture trapped during construction."|"Fast appointment, didn't have to wait around for another contractor." β Desmond K., Des Plaines
"Honest that our renovation contractor should probably know about this under warranty."|"Saved our new drywall, didn't need to cut into it." β Marisol T., Des Plaines
Fresh construction problems deserve a fast, careful response that doesn't undo the work you just paid for. We'll treat your new finishes with the same care your contractor did.

Most commonly, a wall or surface was closed up before moisture from construction, a fresh plumbing tie-in, or paint fully dried.
That depends on your specific contract and what caused the problem, so it's worth checking before booking a separate treatment.
We select methods specifically to avoid damaging fresh drywall, tile, or paint whenever possible.
Most post-renovation calls get scheduled the same day, given how urgent a fresh problem usually feels.
We'll flag any structural cause so you can address it with your Des Plaines, IL contractor going forward.
