WQB Mold Removal's Westwood removal technicians see this constantly after remodels — a bathroom, a basement finish-out, a kitchen expansion — where a subcontractor closed up a wall before it fully dried. We'll give you a straight answer about what actually happened.

WQB Mold Removal built this service around a pattern we see constantly in Westwood: mold showing up within weeks of a renovation because moisture got trapped during construction.
We'd rather coordinate with your original contractor on a warranty callback than have you pay twice for the same underlying issue. We keep photos and notes from every job in case they're useful for a future warranty conversation.
What sets our Mold Removal crew apart in Westwood.
We identify whether trapped construction moisture, a plumbing tie-in, or ventilation change caused the Westwood problem. We coordinate with your original contractor if a callback under their warranty makes sense first.
Fresh drywall and cured paint respond differently to treatment than older materials. We won't damage recent finish work while treating what's underneath it.
You'll see the number before we start, broken down by surface and material. We understand renovation budgets are often already stretched thin.
We know a fresh renovation problem feels urgent, and we treat it that way. Catching this early usually means less has to come back apart.
Every Westwood job gets scoped to the specific problem, not a generic checklist.
New drywall and recently painted surfaces get treated with methods that won't damage the finish you just paid for.
We check recent tie-ins specifically, since this is where a lot of post-renovation problems actually originate.
HEPA vacuuming pulls spore material out of new porous surfaces before any antimicrobial treatment begins.
We match the antimicrobial product to the specific new surface — fresh drywall, new tile, recent trim — rather than a generic spray.
Renovations sometimes alter airflow in ways that create new condensation points nobody anticipated.
We re-inspect the treated surface before leaving, confirming growth is actually resolved.

We inspect, test where needed, and give you a flat-rate quote before any work begins. Nothing gets added later that wasn't discussed and approved upfront.
The job isn't done until it passes our own check, backed by a written guarantee. Any follow-up questions get answered on the spot, not routed to voicemail.
